laughin
For my birthday Kevin took me to San Diego. Here I am with the sunset on the porch of the hotel, looking out at the San Diego bay. The warm sun cooling down after a hot day, wine, and being alive...I was laughing so hard I couldn't stop...which is exactly how I feel about everything.
I love life!

meditation
Meditation is good for the soul and the mind both. Malibu is so peaceful by the waves.
And yes, I high-lighted my hair.
It was accidental.

Really?
Kev and I had a wedding to go to in Catalina this weekend. It is very pretty and quaint but honestly, I was exhausted. Here Kevin is saying "let's go' and I am like, really? You want me to leave this particular spot..now?
Also, for further information the dress is not ripped, as Andrea so politely asked.
It's suppose to be that way.
Maybe not up to my ASS but that's what happens when half the dress material is taken up by a big, bouncy,... well, you get the point.

My kind of Catalina
A reprieve...Kev went and watched the boats on his own and I happily collapsed with all the other street urchin on a bench. Out of the whole day this was my favorite part....laying back and soaking up the sun in my dress on a bench on the pier listening to the island tourists and the ocean.
Head to head
This buffalo was really pissing me off. He would not friggin'move out of my way.
(Catalina was never the same after I visited. Tramatized by all my antics.)

Fly like an eagle
I have been called a chicken, a turkey, a chic,a squawking yap of a woman even, but today, officially, I hung with the eagles.
Hamburgler
I love hamburgers, hamburgers, HAMBURGERS! Not really. Who could eat a cow?
Well, I can.
If pushed.
Moo.
Anyway, this photo is funny, well sort of, but the passerbys watching me try to eat a giant plastic hamburger while dressed for a wedding was where the real comedy was at.

Big Cactus
On Catalina they have plants that grow amazingly well. (Unlike my own in my livingroom.) This is a red leaf variety, its almost as big as my head.

Key Club
We were invited to a cocktail party in Hollywood at The Key Club. Bands played and there were a lot of muckety-mucks entertainment people but I had a lot of fun.
This is me in front of Tremolo, an up and coming San Fran band.

Me and the baby
Me and my main baby man after work, just chatting with Andrea who is so damn far away and now totally preggers with, you guessed, three lil runts of her own.
What the hell are you thinking girl????
Just kidding!
(Not really)
Yes, I am I am.
(Am I?)
I am going to be the best Aunt Kiki.
Aunt.

Buster is the only baby I need.

Who loves Buster?
Who is the baby boy?? Everyone loves the Buster....well, not actually... men, especially Latino men for some reason are on Buster's radar. Who knows, man. He's a dog from Chihuhua...the dude is not happy with his own.

Hoppin happy Easter
HAPPY EASTER!!!
Kev and I went with our very good friends, Amy and Justin Webster to this very chic, Buddhist-y, new age-y, organic restaurant called The Inn at the Seventh Ray (not to be confused with the nude dancing Seven Veils club in Hollywood). Amy, being a very swank chic herself, along with her equally swank and debonair husband have frequented the joint a few times before. But it was our first and it was dee-lightful.

Mimosa twins
I usually don't drink...no REALLY. But they were serving so....Kev said something that made me laugh right as he took this shot.
Miss Messy
Okay, this is my plate!! LOL. I lost control halfway thru the buffet and just started trying everything. I was STARVING so I took a little more than I should have, but I did pretty good. The FOOD WAS AMAZING organic gourmet fantastic fare. AND a woman caught herself on fire while we were there so we had entertainment to boot.... the hysterics of a klutz with the music of Enya in the background.
Good Stuff.

Ahhh, the lovely couple

Sunrise
From our porch we can see the sunrise to the left and at night, the sunset to the right. I am up early ONLY when I have to be at work, and (sigh) on Thursdays I am there early. I was sleepy and puffy drinking my coffee trying to wake up when I saw the sun come up.
Cozy
It has been raining today at the beach and Buster and I fell asleep listening to the waves outside with a fire going. I got up for a MINUTE and he was, well, put out. I thought it was a cute pic.
Wind Chime
This is a greenware wind chime that is also being fired right now. It is Inuit design of a killer whale.
Buddha Sun
Nicknamed Jabba the Hut by my best friend (ahem) Andrea, this is an impromptu version of The Buddha laughing, which is what all Buddhas do. We laugh.
Buddhist Mask
This is a greenware mask that is in the process right now of being fired into bisque. I think I will use stain and not glaze for this one.
Face
This mask was my version of a wind/forest God. The leaves, which are hard to see have been carved and there is a mix of matte and high gloss glaze. I used wax to have the glaze "crawl" around the leaves.
Evolution
This piece was an assignment from Gerry my instructor to create a mask about the primordial Universe. So this is a face with different animal parts but the parts making a whole; A Hawk's nose, 2 fish swimming for an eye, a cat's eye and ear, a shark's gill, and man's tongue and mouth. Voila, all one in the Universe.
